US Cross Nationals

Last weekend Cross Nationals were held in Bend, which was an awesome way to cap off a great 2010 season. The course was super fun and rather interesting with all the snow and ice that we got to race on for the B race. My race was super fun, the field was smaller than last year, which was unfortunate but was some really good competition that had me in good threshold pain.

I was extra excited that my dad drove all the way over for the day just to watch my race. With his extra cheering, I was able to finish in 4th place and reserve a spot on the podium to spread the Trinity Bikes cheer!

After my race on Wednesday, I spent the rest of the week trying to take in as much racing and cowbell ringing as I could. I think I was more tired after cheering for my buddies then after my own race....hmmm, maybe I should've raced harder? Haha. Here is some video from the Men's U23 race. Course went from ice and snow to super mud and wet, it was epic!

With the 2010 season officially wrapped up, I'm already thinking about the 2011 season. Training is coming along nicely, mother nature has tried to throw everything at me, including at least 6" of snow that fell last night, but it just makes it more interesting and lets me feel super hardcore! Haha.

Heading home for Christmas next week, so I'm going to try and be on the bike a bunch so I can go into my parent's goody laden houses in a nice calorie deficit!

That's it that's all!
